peeking behind the veneer

Mama had a baby and its head popped off.

I didn't watch the debates last night. Seemed kinda boring anyway. I spent all my time studying for a stupid 15 point quiz in Governmental Accounting that I ended up failing. I have yet to pass one of these things. It's making my attempt at graduating that much more difficult.

Whatever.

I was reading a poll today about the NHL (whatever that is) and it generated some statistic that 61% of people don't really care if the NHL goes away. Personally, I was never one for hockey, but I think that this strike will be the end of the NHL as we know it. It's kinda weird to think about. I never knew a professional sport to just stop being there. I don't count the XFL. That was doomed from the beginning.

My hope is that the NBA will soon follow but on different measures. Instead of a lock-down due to salaries, each team will become a "gang" and instead of shooting baskets they shoot themselves. The winners get to take all the losers bling and Escalades. I'd get season tickets.

What a ghetto sport that's become.

I was reading some garbage on Drudge today and came across this article. I guess this comic book character now has this partner that is HIV-positive. Being the insensitive prick that I am, I found this hysterical. I can't begin to imagine the types of super powers this character contains in her utility belt. Spreads abstinence to the good, years of disease to the evil.

I actually think it's not a bad idea. Strange, yes, but not in a bad way. Hopefully it'll teach some kids a few lessons. It probably wouldn't kill some adults to read it either. Kudos to "Green Arrow".

"Issue 6: Mia vs. Dr. T-Cell Killer" It's a fight to the finish.

Go, Mia, go.
